Elon Musk Reacts to Trump vs. Harris Saga
A user on X (formerly Twitter) shared a screenshot from the betting platform Polymarket, highlighting Trump’s growing odds of winning and noting, “Kamala is collapsing before our eyes.” Musk, CEO of Tesla and a prominent figure in the tech world, commented on the developments by emphasizing the need for a dominant victory.
“Victory is not enough, it must be absolutely decisive victory,” Musk stated on X, referring to the widening margin between Trump and Harris. This increase in Trump’s odds is being interpreted as an indicator of a potentially “decisive” win for the former president. As of press time, Trump boasted 53.4% winning odds while Harris’ chances were pegged at 45.7% on Polymarket.
Musk, who has recently shown public support for Trump, has signaled his willingness to serve in a potential Trump administration. Speculation suggests that Musk could lead a new department focusing on government efficiency. Furthermore, over the weekend, Musk further solidified his support by attending Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania, where he delivered a speech.

In the lead-up to this, Musk had publicly shifted his political stance, citing dissatisfaction with the Democratic Party. “In the past I voted Democrat, because they were (mostly) the kindness party. But they have become the party of division & hate, so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican,” Musk wrote in an earlier post on X.
Reacting to this today, Musk described the statement as an “easy prediction,” underscoring his ongoing disapproval of the Democrats. This statement against the backdrop of a significant legal development.
On Monday, October 7, the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear an appeal from Musk’s X Corp. regarding a search warrant for Trump’s private messages on the platform. The company had argued that special counsel Jack Smith’s actions in obtaining the warrant violated the First Amendment.
Musk’s platform was also prohibited from disclosing the existence of the warrant, adding to the growing tension between Musk and legal authorities. Moreover, in another post on X, Swedish journalist Peter Imanuelsen pointed out the disparity in reactions to Musk’s support for Trump.
He wrote, “The left is mad and outraged that Elon Musk is supporting Trump. But they are completely silent about George Soros buying 200 radio stations and Google supporting the Democrats.” To this, Musk replied, “The left controls almost all legacy media and all major search and social media companies, except this one. We strive to be a level playing field for all views. They do not.”
